Energy efficient homes for Edwinstowe

We’ve designed a new scheme of bungalows on the former Manvers Arms Public House site in Edwinstowe.

We were approached by Waters Homes Ltd to design a private housing scheme on the site of the Manvers Arms Public House in Edwinstowe.

We designed several options for the site, with Waters Homes deciding on a scheme of bungalows, which would give the option of downsizing to a new energy efficient, light and airy home for buyers.

Additionally, we worked with the Planners and Highways Agency at Newark and Sherwood and Nottinghamshire County Council through the pre-app process to come up with the approved scheme of 8 two bed bungalows and 1 one bed bungalow.

Water Homes wanted a contemporary feel to the development and we were more than happy to oblige with an eye-catching scheme with tall mono-pitch roofs, large corner windows and zinc coated steel roofing.

Dominic Waters, Development Director, at Water Homes comments: “We’re delighted to be getting started on this exciting development. We’ve seen the need for smaller communities, with personality and character. This makes it more interesting from a design perspective, but of course, trickier too.”

The scheme will begin its start on site this summer with completion due by spring/summer 2020.
