Celebrating great designs

Pelham Architects were voted winner for the best residential development at the Forum for the Built Environment Awards ceremony on 4th October, recognising our work on the Knights Close development in the conservation area of Billesdon, Leicestershire.

Forum for the Built Environment are a leading independent built environment networking organisation, bringing together a wide range of housing professionals to share news on and recognise great construction projects.

The scheme, which also received an award from the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) comprises of a mixture of one, two and three bedroom properties, creating much needed affordable homes for local people, who may have otherwise struggled to remain within the community.

On the night, the judges said: “This exceptional development has truly raised the standard for affordable residential schemes.”

Mike Price, Head Architect at Pelham Architects, comments further: “We were very proud to receive this award along with Geda Construction on behalf of the client Seven Locks Housing and the Parish Council who helped and supported us through the design and build of this project.”
